The Saint Michael Parish Pastoral Council is an advisory body to the pastor in the study and
reflection upon whatever pertains to parish pastoral ministry and in the reaching of practical
conclusions on how to help the people of St. Michael's pattern their lives and actions more
closely on the Gospel.
The council meets the second Tuesday at 6:30 PM in the rectory basement.
If you have comments or suggestions, please email saintmichaelppc@gmail.com or contact the parish office.
The Parish Pastoral Council welcomes the participation and input of parishioners at its monthly meetings, held the second Tuesday of every month. These Guidelines set forth the procedures to be followed. They also include the procedure for having a matter placed on the Agenda.
PARTICIPATION AT MEETINGS
The first thirty minutes of each meeting will be reserved for comments and questions by parishioners. To insure that everyone has the opportunity to address the Council, each parishioner is limited to five minutes. Accommodations to that time limit can be made, depending upon the number of parishioners in attendance who have questions and/or comments.
Council requests that any parishioner who intends to address the Council notify the parish secretary via email at stmichaelhburg@dioceseaj.org, or the parish council at saintmichaelppc@gmail.com one week prior to the meeting. While such a notification is not mandatory, it will help the Council prepare for adequate seating at the next meeting.
Any comments, questions or suggestions may be submitted to the Council twenty-four hours before the next regularly scheduled meeting by submitting them in writing to the parish secretary or by emailing them to the parish.
MATTERS TO BE PLACED ON AGENDA
Any parishioner who wants to have a matter put on the Agenda for an upcoming meeting should submit the matter in writing to the parish secretary at least twenty days before the next regularly scheduled meeting. In the alternative, a parishioner may submit the matter during the parishioner participation segment of any meeting, or by email ( stmichaelhburg@dioceseaj.org)
MINUTES OF MEETING
Minutes of all Council meetings are available on the parish website.
